Pikey Peak is a popular trekking destination in Nepal, located in the Solukhumbu district. The peak is named after the British surveyor, George Everest, who first surveyed the region in the 1800s. The trek to Pikey Peak is a moderate one, and it takes around 5-6 days to complete. The trail passes through lush forests, traditional Sherpa villages, and offers stunning views of the Himalayan range, including Mount Everest.

The trek starts from the town of Phaplu, which is easily accessible by road from Kathmandu. From Phaplu, the trail ascends through the forests of rhododendron and oak, passing through several Sherpa villages. The first night of the trek is usually spent in the village of Kharpa, which is known for its traditional Sherpa culture and hospitality.

The next day, the trail continues to climb through the forests, and the views of the Himalayan range start to open up. The trek passes through the village of Saleri, which is known for its beautiful mani walls and chortens. From Saleri, the trail climbs steeply to reach Pikey Peak, which is located at an altitude of 4,065 meters.

The summit of Pikey Peak offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan range, including Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. The peak is also known for its stunning sunrise views, which are considered to be one of the best in the region. The trek back to Phaplu is relatively easy, and it takes around 2-3 days to complete.

Overall, the Pikey Peak trek is a great option for those looking for a moderate trek in the Himalayas. The trail offers stunning views of the mountains, and the opportunity to experience the traditional Sherpa culture. The trek is also relatively less crowded compared to other popular treks in the region, making it a great option for those looking for a more peaceful and authentic trekking experience.
